iPhone 16 series on track for September launch‎

Apple is on track to launch the iPhone 16 family in September, which has been the traditional month for the event for many years now. We weren't necessarily expecting anything to change, but we now have a sort of confirmation of the timeline. It comes from Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants, who posted on X about the production start for the iPhone 16 lineup's display panels. This is expected to commence in June, which is exactly when it did in previous years in order to make a September launch possible. Hence, it's happening in September this year as well. The iPhone...

Samsung Galaxy M35 shown in 360 degrees in three colors‎

A couple of days or so ago, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M35 got listed on the Google Play Console, which revealed one image of it and a few specs - things like the Exynos 1380 SoC powering it, a 6GB of RAM option, and Android 14 on board. Today legendary leaker Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) has shared 360-degree views for three colorways of the Galaxy M35, which give us a better look at its design. Samsung Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A33 are now getting One UI 6.1‎

Samsung started spreading the One UI 6.1 love to its mid-rangers recently, and today two more are receiving the update to the latest version of the Android skin. We're talking about the Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A33. The A73's update is currently rolling out in Malaysia as build A736BXXU7EXDC. It's a 2.6GB download and includes the April 2024 security patch level, which now seems to be a theme with the One UI 6.1 updates for Samsung mid-rangers. It's sad to not see the May security patch level since we're already well into May, but at least the rollout has started - so you win some, you lose...

TikTok wants to be YouTube now, tests 60-minute video uploads‎

TikTok is currently testing 60-minute video uploads, in its never ending quest to be more like YouTube. The feature is currently available to a limited group of users in "select markets", the company told TechCrunch. There are currently no immediate plans to make this available more widely, but the idea is clear here - with longer-form content, TikTok can attract some YouTube viewers on top of its usual audience who's looking for short-form videos to scroll through. At launch, TikTok had a 15-minute upload limit (much like YouTube used to back in the day), but this has steadily...

Moto G85 stops by Geekbench with Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 SoC, 8GB of RAM‎

The Moto G84 made its debut in August of last year (with a release the following month), but it looks like its successor could be arriving sooner. We've already spotted the Moto G85 in a European retailer's database earlier this month, with a price of €300, and now a prototype has run Geekbench, which means it's featured in the benchmark's online database. This reveals the fact that the G85 seems to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 chipset, which hasn't been officially announced yet, but will be the successor to the 4 Gen 2 from 2023. That was the first chip in the series made...

Apple iPad Pro 11 (2024) in for review‎

We've been hearing about the iPad's move to OLED since 2021, but we finally have an OLED iPad in our hands in mid-2024. The unit we have for review is the 11-inch iPad Pro (2024) and it's a solid upgrade over its predecessor. Part of that is down to the elapsed time - the last iPad Pro 11 came out two years ago. Sure, the M2 processor inside that tablet is no slouch, even in 2024, but the M4 inside the new Pro is built on a more efficient second-generation 3nm process, compared to the 5nm of the M2. Some would argue whether an iPad needs an M4 chip over an A17 Pro, but this iPad...
