Hurricane Isaias, the first Atlantic hurricane of 2026, has been getting stronger as it takes aim at the Gulf Coast from Mississippi to the Florida Panhandle.
Isaias strengthened to a Category 2 hurricane on Thursday as it headed toward the U.S. Gulf Coast, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said, prompting mandatory evacuations and disrupting oil and gas production.
