Morocco’s King Mohammed VI has named Marrakesh’s long-time mayor as the country’s first female prime minister.
Morocco has named its first-ever female prime minister, and only the second woman to hold the position in the Arab world, following an election.
The incoming government will oversee the final stages of a $20-billion push to prepare for the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco will co-host with Portugal and Spain.
