Brandon McNulty becomes the first American winner of the men's road race world title in 33 years with a stunning victory in Montreal.
Brandon McNulty became the first American in 33 years to win the men's cycling road race world title as he stunned the favourites in Montreal on Sunday.McNulty quickly built up a lead of more than a minute at one point but with 9km left, Pidcock brought a group including Del Toro and Paul Seixas, another of the pre-race favourites, to within 10sec of the loan leader.
Brandon McNulty is the third U.S. man to win the road race at the World Road Cycling Championships.
