The Chicago Stars FC have hired Vlatko Andonovski as the club's chief soccer officer, a major statement of intent for the struggling NWSL team.
Former U.S. women's national team coach Vlatko Andonovski has joined the Chicago Stars as chief soccer officer, the team announced Thursday. The Stars fired coach Martin Sjögren last month after less than a full season on the job. General manager Richard Feuz was let go in May.
Andonovski, just 2 years removed from leading Kansas City to a record NWSL season, will now try to rebuild a struggling Stars franchise from the ground up.
