After some training-camp drama, Baker Mayfield has a new deal with the Bucs.
The Buccaneers have given quarterback Baker Mayfield a three-year, $165 million contract extension to keep him with Tampa Bay through the 2029 season.
Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed on a $165 million, three-year contract extension, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press. Mayfield revived his career in Tampa Bay after replacing Tom Brady in 2023. Mayfield, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft by Cleveland, made the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons while leading the Bucs to consecutive NFC South titles.
The Bucs and Baker Mayfield have agreed to a three-year extension reportedly worth around $55 million per year.
Mayfield's deal is reportedly worth $165 million.
