Buckingham Palace reaffirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not resume royal duties despite their UK return, keeping HRH titles in abeyance.
Prince Harry and Meghan will not be working members of Britain’s royal family now they have returned to the U.K., a letter sent on behalf of King Charles said.
Prince Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working members of the royal family in January 2020, and this position, the letter said, "will continue to be fully respected."
Prince Harry and Meghan returned to the U.K. after living in California for six years.
The letter has been sent to Prince Harry's team, the government, military and Lord Lieutenants, Palace sources say.
