U.S. forces struck three Iranian oil tankers Saturday after Iran launched ballistic missiles toward two U.S.
The strikes were carried out after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles at two US Navy ships, CENTCOM said.
In a post on X, the US Central Command said that the aircraft carrier and guided-missile destroyer successfully avoided "multiple unprovoked Iranian attacks".
Iran fired ballistic missiles at a U.S. aircraft carrier and a destroyer, but the ships were able to evade the attacks, Central Command said.
