More than 172 people have been rescued, Northern Cyprus PM says.
Those rescued from the vessel were taken to Kyrenia port for transfer to hospitals, according to Turkish Cypriot Transport Minister Erhan Arikli.
A ferry carrying nearly 270 passengers and crew capsized off the coast of northern Cyprus.
A local mayor says 159 passengers have been reached so far, with a rescue operation under way.
