Amid tariff war with Canada, Trump has signed an executive order renaming the shared lake.
"Space is the hot thing," President Trump said at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston.
President Donald Trump on Friday announced that he would sign an executive order to create a new military academy, the U.S. Space Academy.
The executive order directs the Interior Department to update the Geographic Names Information System, changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America.
Canada has rejected the new name of the lake, which straddles both countries, as their row deepens.
