Brewers overcome Dustin May's early injury to rout the Mets 8-1‎

Brice Turang hit a three-run homer and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the New York Mets 8-1 on Wednesday night, overcoming an injury to starter Dustin May after one pitch. The right-hander was replaced by lefty Robert Gasser (4-5), who earned the win by tossing 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball. May became the first major league starter to exit after one pitch since Pablo López with the Miami Marlins on July 2, 2021.
