The rate is much higher than is seen in the general population. CTE is a brain disease linked to repeated blows to the head.
The study used brain samples from the UNITE Brain Bank at Boston University.
The New York Times raises the question of whether OSHA should get involved.
The actual prevalence, researchers said, may be much higher.
