Prince Harry and his family will leave the sunny shores of southern California and return to the United Kingdom, a source familiar with the couple’s plans said.
Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, are moving back to the U.K. six years after stepping back from their royal duties to start a new life in California, their representatives confirmed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to move back to the UK. The Telegraph newspaper reports that six years after they stepped down as working royals, they will make the UK their primary base with their children. NBC News’ Daniele Hamamdjian has more.
The couple said in January 2020 that they would be stepping away from "senior" royal roles and were working to become financially independent from the royal family.
The prince and his wife, whose relations with King Charles and the rest of the royal family have long been strained, will remain non-working royals, according to a person familiar with the decision.

The couple's children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are enrolled to start at a school in September.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will move back to the UK later this month.
