Luigi Mangione pleaded guilty to killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in 2024.
"I shot Mr Thompson in Manhattan and he died," the 28-year-old said after pleading guilty to charges of stalking resulting in death.
Mangione, 28, had previously pleaded not guilty in April 2025 to murder, weapons, and stalking charges brought by Manhattan federal prosecutors.
