An armed man was arrested at President Donald Trump's golf course in Los Angeles two days before the US leader's visit on Tuesday, the local sheriff's office said.
The suspect had already been under investigation by El Segundo police on suspicion of robbery. He was also arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon and possessing prohibited ammunition.
Loaded pistol and rifle among items found in suspect's pocket, car and home following arrest, police say.
The arrest happened shortly before President Trump was due to host a fundraising dinner at the coastal golf course in California.
A man allegedly photographing security preparations at Trump National Golf Club was found with weapons, body armor and concerning notebooks.
