Paramount Skydance on Friday said it would delay the deal until as late as June 2027.
Paramount Skydance has agreed to delay its merger with Warner Brothers until June 2027, unless a federal judge issues a ruling on the suit filed by a dozen Democratic state attorneys general before then. Paramount will have to pay a penalty for every day the deal doesn't go through after a Sept. 30 deadline, potentially costing the company millions of dollars.
Paramount Skydance agreed to freeze its merger with rival Hollywood studio Warner Bros.
The company agreed to a proposed freeze until June 2027, unless a judge issues a ruling before then on a lawsuit blocking the deal.
