Alex Ovechkin, the NHL's all-time leading goal scorer, will return for a 22nd season with the Washington Capitals, the club announced on Thursday.He surpassed Wayne Gretzky as the league's all-time leading goal scorer when he tallied his 895th in April of 2025.
