New Royal Mint 50p coin celebrates 100 years of British racing history ahead of Silverstone GP‎

Motorsport fans and coin collectors alike have a new piece of history to covet, as The Royal Mint unveils a special 50p coin commemorating a century of the Grand Prix in Britain. The commemorative coin was revealed at Brooklands in Weybridge, Surrey, the historic site that hosted Britain’s inaugural Grand Prix in August 1926, and was pictured alongside a classic Delage car. Designed in collaboration with London-based agency Interstate, the 'tails' side vividly depicts the evolution of Grand Prix racing.
