Carolina's Andrei Svechnikov scored two power-play goals to help the Hurricanes beat the Vegas Golden Knights 4-2 on Thursday to move within one win of capturing the NHL Stanley Cup.Pavel Dorofeyev scored twice for Vegas, his power play goal less than even minutes into the opening period putting the Golden Knights up 1-0.
It all came together in Game 5, with Svechnikov’s short putaway at the post on the power play giving Carolina a 4-1 lead midway through the third period.
