Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke has died, the team, his agency and the NBA said Tuesday. Neither the Grizzlies nor Clarke’s agency, Priority Sports, provided any details about when, where or how Clarke died.
Clarke's death was announced Tuesday by the Grizzlies and his representation, Priority Sports.

Clarke was arrested April 1 in Arkansas for speeding and possession of a controlled substance that was reportedly kratom, an herbal supplement promoted as an alternative pain remedy that is legal to possess in Tennessee.
"Brandon was an outstanding teammate and an even better person whose impact on the organization and the great Memphis community will not be forgotten," the team said.

Memphies Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke has passed away, the team confirmed in a social media post on Tuesday afternoon. Clarke, a first-round pick in 2019, was only 29.
Brandon Clarke played in just two games with the Grizzlies this season.
