Trump says U.S. will guide ships through Strait of Hormuz
President Trump on Sunday announced Project Freedom, an effort to escort ships not involved in the war with Iran out of the Strait of Hormuz, will begin Monday.
"This process, Project Freedom, will begin Monday morning, Middle East time," US President Donald Trump said in a statement published in Truth Social.
President Trump offered few details on how the new program, which he called Project Freedom, would work, but said interference would be dealt with “forcefully.”
