Taylor Swift files to trademark her voice and likeness
Taylor Swift is proactively moving to ensure her voice and likeness are protected from deepfakes and other AI misuse. Swift’s company filed three applications last week, including two audio trademarks for “Hey, it’s Taylor Swift” and another for “Hey, it’s Taylor,” as well as a third filing for a visual trademark covering a photo of Swift holding a pink guitar. NBC’s Liz Kreutz reports for TODAY.
The singer is filing three new trademark applications after her likeness has been used without permission for numerous AI fakes.
