The Minnesota Timberwolves lost All-Star Anthony Edwards and fellow starting guard Donte DiVincenzo to first-half injuries on Saturday to take the shine off their 112-96 NBA playoff victory over Denver.It piled the injury misery on the Timberwolves, who lost key contributor DiVincenzo less than two minutes into the contest with a lower right leg injury later reported to be a season-ending torn Achilles tendon.
Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo were injured in the first half of Game 4 of Minnesota's playoff series against Denver on Saturday night, leaving the Timberwolves without both of their starting guards. Edwards' left knee appeared to buckle as he landed after contesting a layup late in the second quarter. DiVincenzo appeared to injure his lower right leg in the game’s opening minutes when he slipped to the court as he raced to chase a ball.
