Things haven’t quite gone the way that Klay Thompson expected they would when he joined the Dallas Mavericks before the 2024-25 NBA season. Thompson joined the Mavs to play on a contending team alongside star guard Luka Doncic. Instead, Dallas traded Doncic prior to the trade deadline last season and now appears to be in the midst of a rebuild.
