Israel's intense bombardment left Beirut to confront new devastation Thursday as the U.S. ally's assault on Lebanon imperiled the fragile ceasefire with Iran.
Israel launched powerful attacks on Lebanon on Wednesday, killing at least 250 people, according to the country's Ministry of Health. Iran says the new attacks are a violation of the ceasefire with the United States but Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insists the temporary agreement does not include Hezbollah.
