The Department of Homeland Security is suspending frequent flier and quick-processing programs for travelers at airports and U.S. border crossings starting Sunday, a DHS official confirmed
"TSA and Customs and Border Protection are prioritizing the general traveling population at our airports and ports of entry and suspending courtesy and special privilege escorts," Kristi Noem said.
TSA PreCheck and Global Entry services suspended starting Sunday due to government shutdown affecting Department of Homeland Security operations.
The rare move will result in longer lines, likely frustrating many travelers.
