Trumps says Kennedy Center will close for renovations
President Trump says the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., will close for two years for a "Complete Rebuilding." CBS News' Natalie Brand reports.
President Donald Trump has announced plans to shut down the Kennedy Performing Arts Center in July for a two-year renovation. It comes as a number of high-profile performers have recently canceled their appearances there and ticket sales have dropped. NBC’s Ryan Nobles reports for TODAY.
The president’s announcement came after the center has been rocked by cancellations and boycotts by performers, contributors and audience members.
