The move, which comes after the killing of protesters, brings the European Union in line with the United States and Canada.
The European Union agreed Thursday to designate Iran's Revolutionary Guard a "terrorist organisation" over a deadly crackdown on mass protests, sending a powerful message of condemnation to Tehran.
Israel welcomed the move, with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar calling it "an important and historic decision."
EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas says the move is a response to Tehran's deadly crackdown on protesters.
The European Union is set to list the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organisation after it killed 6,373 people during the brutal crackdown on protesters, the Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, said.
