Sen. Amy Klobuchar on Thursday launched her campaign to be Minnesota's next governor, a surprise twist in the race for the top job in the state as it experiences an unprecedented immigration enforcement operation that's ignited a national debate.
"I like my job in the Senate. But I love our state more than any job," Sen. Amy Klobuchar said in announcing on Thursday her candidacy for Minnesota governor.
The Democratic senator, who signaled her bid after Gov. Tim Walz said he wouldn’t run again, talked about moving past political divides in a video announcement.
