Heading a football is "likely" to have contributed to the brain injury which was a factor in the death of former Manchester United and Scotland defender Gordon McQueen, a coroner in North Yorkshire has found.
The Scotland international died at his home in North Yorkshire in June 2023
An inquest concludes that "it is likely that repetitive head impacts, sustained by heading the ball while playing football, contributed to the CTE" which was a factor in the former footballer's death.
