A federal investigation into alleged daycare fraud in Minnesota is growing and the Trump administration says it’s halting all federal child care payments to the state. It comes after a viral video racked up more than 100 million views online of YouTuber Nick Shirley, who describes himself as an independent journalist, says he went to ten childcare centers receiving federal and state subsidies and did not see children at the site. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports for TODAY.
