The US is in "active pursuit" of a third oil tanker near Venezuela in the Caribbean Sea, officials have said.
The move comes days after President Donald Trump said that he was ordering a blockade of sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela.
The pursuit of the tanker, off the coast of Venezuela, is the second such operation this weekend and the third in less than a week.
The U.S. Coast Guard “is in active pursuit” of a sanctioned vessel in international waters off the coast of Venezuela, two U.S. officials with knowledge of the matter tell NBC News.
