Suspect Claudio Neves Valente has also been linked by police to the murder of an MIT professor on Monday.
The Brown University shooting suspect attended the same Lisbon university as MIT professor Nuno Loureiro, who died in a Boston shooting the suspect is also believed to be involved in. Loureiro was found fatally shot in his Brookline home two days after the shooting at Brown, officials said.
The gunman behind the shooting at Brown University also killed an MIT professor on Monday, according to Leah Foley, U.S. attorney for the District of Massachusetts. See Foley's full remarks from Thursday night.
Investigators said Neves-Valente also killed Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) professor Nuno Loureiro earlier this week.
