Today Google is finally revamping Google Translate, infusing it with Gemini capabilities in order to improve translations, especially on phrases with nuanced meanings like idioms, local expressions, or slang. This, Google says, is state-of-the-art translation quality, and you can find it in Google Search and in the Translate app on iOS and Android.
