Britain’s King Charles III has revealed that his cancer treatment will soon be scaled back, crediting an “early diagnosis, effective intervention and adherence to doctors’ orders” for an improvement in his condition.
King Charles spoke about the importance of early cancer detection and cancer screenings in a video message on Friday.
King Charles says his cancer treatment to be 'reduced'
Britain's King Charles III said in a televised announcement that, thanks to early detection and intervention, his treatment for prostate cancer will be reduced in the new year. The king's message was in support of the Stand Up to Cancer charity campaign. Charles disclosed his cancer diagnosis in February 2024, less than 18 months after taking the throne.

The 77-year-old says the milestone is a "personal blessing" and testimony to advances in cancer care.
