In Australia, millions of kids' social media profiles are going dark, as the country's new social media ban takes effect for anyone under 16. Jo Ling Kent reports.
Children younger than 16 years old will be banned from using social media in Australia starting Wednesday.
Children under 16 can no longer access 10 of the world's biggest platforms, including Facebook, TikTok and Instagram.
The measure is one of the most sweeping efforts in the world to safeguard children from the harms of the platforms.
