Penn State is in talks to name Iowa State’s Matt Campbell as its next head football coach, according to reports. Multiple outlets, including The Athletic and ESPN, citing anonymous sources, reported talks between Campbell and the Nittany Lions were progressing. Campbell’s potential hire comes nearly two months after the Nittany Lions fired longtime coach James Franklin midway through his 12th season following an 0-3 start in Big Ten play.
