Two MLB pitchers were indicted Sunday on charges they took bribes to give sports bettors advance notice of pitches they’d throw.
Emmanuel Clase de la Cruz and Luis Leandro Ortiz Ribera, two pitchers with the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball, were indicted Sunday for taking bribes in exchange for throwing rigged pitches.
Federal agents said they arrested Luis Leandro Ortiz Ribera in Boston Sunday and also revealed the indictment against Emmanuel Clase de la Cruz.
