A zoo in Denmark is asking for unwanted pets to be donated - not for further care but as food for its predators.
Aalborg Zoo says the unique scheme is aimed at mimicking what its predators would eat in the wild.
"We have a responsibility to imitate the natural food chain of the animals - in terms of both animal welfare and professional integrity," Aalborg Zoo says.
