Travis King, the U.S. soldier who ran across the Demilitarized Zone and into North Korea last year, was sentenced Friday to a prison term that amounts to the time he has already served.
Travis King fled into North Korea in July 2023 while taking part in a guided tour of the Korean Demilitarized Zone.
U.S. Army soldier Travis King has pleaded guilty to desertion and four other charges following an incident last year in which he ran into North Korea.
